Data & Stories

You might know… I’m in Thailand. And I’m working my backside-off trying to create my own software. It’s bit social media, bit analytics, but it’s mostly about content and understanding the people who engage with it. Content from you or your brand, your competition and content in the market. And it’s using the data I can get my mitts on to better inform decision making.

Quality content is one of the more time-consuming things to create. Be it video, blog posts, even the social posts that try to amplify it. It all takes time.

If someone says something about you or your content, how do you know? How much do you know about the person? How do you use that knowledge as an opportunity to engage and build relationships? Sometimes the answer is simple. If they mention your brand, handle or hashtag, you get a notification. It might be a comment directly on the post or story. But it might be somewhere else – and don’t mention you, your brand or something you’re listening for. In fact, you don’t know what you don’t know.

This is what I’m working on and have some ideas that seem to be working in my own prototypes.

Who are your super-fans? Of the super fans, which ones drive additional engagement? Which ones are the influencers? Who should you be going out of your way to service and keep on-side?

Equally, who are the super-fans of your competition?

There are tools out there that help with these insights to some degree, but I’m putting my own spin on it.

If anyone is interested in this kind of information or know more, I’d love to hear from you and try help if possible. While I don’t have the covers off my technology yet – and is still some time away – I’m building the smarts and have the ability to pull some rather interesting insights.

Shoot me a message if you’ve got any questions or would like to understand a little more. Oh yeah, life on the road has been great. But still working for clients back home – if there’s anything I can help with, I’m here and able to balance my work with other jobs.

BTW. What do I call my to-do-list? Steve Jobs.

Hope you’re well! I’m great 🙂 We’ve started a little travel blog too – TwoTravelAbroad. If that’s more your jam, have a look.
